The “pin-up strong” pair of Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya have thrived by torturing Kelly Kelly & Eve, but the wicked duo couldn’t push around the so-called “Barbie Dolls” tonight. Rolling up her powerful rival out of nowhere, Kelly scored a huge tag victory for her team and sent the arrogant Divas a message that a pretty face should never be underestimated.
Bull Nakano Visits WWE Live Event in Japan
Japanese legend and former WWE Women’s Champion Bull Nakano was backstage visiting at a Raw brand live event in Japan earlier today.
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix tweeted a picture of herself with Nakano (see left), writing: “Myself and the legendary Bull Nakano…one of my greatest female inspirations. Loving Japan.”
Nakano unofficially retired in 1996 but announced earlier this year that she’ll be holding a retirement show in January 2012. Bull won’t be wrestling due to knee surgery, however, will be appearing in some fashion. Nakano recently got married. (more…)
Trish Stratus Sides With Beth Phoenix And Natalya
As noted earlier this week, former WWE Diva Trish Stratus spoke with with WWE.com to promote WWE ’12. In the interview, Stratus was asked whom she sided with in the Kelly Kelly and Eve vs. Beth Phoenix and Natalya feud.
I think my M.O. is more in line with that of Beth & Natalya,” said Stratus. “Once I entered WWE, it was a conscious decision for me to not be about modeling anymore — my career focus was all about what I did in the ring. I can, however, relate to Kelly Kelly & Eve. It’s tough, coming from one industry, to try and be taken seriously in another. That’s when it all comes down to just going out and proving yourself.
