Layla : Leaving NBA’s Miami Heat For WWE
In an latest interview of Layla, she talks about her carrier, why she left NBA’s Miami Heat For WWE. ESPN’s website has also picked up the story.
Layla was a dancer for the Miami Heat back in 2006 when they last won the NBA championship. Regarding her decision to leave the Heat and try out for the WWE Diva Search competition, she said, “It literally happened within the span of a week.”
Layla received a championship ring when the Miami Heat won the NBA championship back in 2006. “I still have my championship ring, which I’m very proud of,” she said. “I keep it in its box. I hardly show it to anyone; it’s really sacred to me.”
Layla Talks Leaving NBA
WWE.com has an interview with Divas champion Layla about the NBA finals. During the interview, Layla spoke about her stint with the Miami Heat in 2006, and revealed that Shaquille O’Neal was her favorite player during that time. She also spoke about leaving the Heat after they won the championship in 2006 to join the Divas Search.

Divas Title Match Added to ‘No Way Out’
Finally after a long wait Divas’ Title match for No Way Out has been announced..a rematch from last month’s Over the Limit, Divas Champion Layla will defend her title against Beth Phoenix this Sunday at No Way Out.
The latest match comes after Beth pinned Layla in a mixed tag team match last night on Raw.
Beth hit the Glam Slam on Layla to score a victory for herself and Ricardo Rodriguez. Layla teamed with US Champion, Santino.
