Maryse Says She’s “Happy” and “Free” Following WWE Release
As news broke of her release from WWE earlier tonight, Maryse tweeted the following, insisting that she’s “happy” and “free”.
Maryse wrote: “I’M OUT and sexier than ever! Thanks to all my fans, colleagues and @WWE Universe. Time to party! “Release” party tonight at @trousdale LA.”
She added: “Im Happy, im Smiling, and FREE, now its time to get Naughty …………BE SEXY.”

WWE.com has just released a statement announcing the release of former two-time Divas Champion, Maryse.
Maryse entered WWE in 2006 following the 2006 Diva Search which was eventually won by Layla. Maryse was one of the contestants signed from that year’s contest and spent time in developmental while also performing on the SmackDown brand.
The Sexiest of the Sexy, as she proclaimed herself, really began to stand out in 2008 when she started competing more in the ring and had a lengthy feud with Michelle McCool on SmackDown, eventually leading to a Divas Championship run.
Maryse would hold the title on a second occasion, winning the title in a tournament after it was vacated by an injured Melina in early 2010. Maryse defeated Gail Kim in the finals of the tournament in February 2010.
The French-Canadian Diva has had some issues with injuries during her run. In 2008, she suffered a dislocated kneecap. She would tough it out before having surgery in the summer of 2009.
Earlier this year, she was out of action with an abdominal hernia for which she had to have surgery. It was said that she’d be back imminently, however, she never returned.

The Miz and Maryse were spotted at several events involving LA Fashion Week yesterday. As noted numerous times before, the duo is a real-life couple and have been for over a year now.
