More On Undertaker & Michelle McCool’s Baby

As noted earlier, The Undertaker and wife Michelle McCool had a baby. The couple welcomed daughter Kaia Faith Calaway yesterday.

Apparently The Undertaker isn’t the only WWE superstar to welcome a baby girl this week. TNA star Jesse Sorensen revealed that Heath Slater also had a baby girl, posting the following on his Twitter:

Eve & Michelle Make WWE.com List of Smartest Wrestlers

Following up on their list of wrestlers they want to see wrestle one more time, WWE.com has now produced a list of the “20 Smartest Superstars in History”. Singled out for their smarts were Eve Torres and Michelle McCool. Eve landed at #10, Michelle at #19:

#10 – Eve Torres: Eve may very well be one of the most well-rounded Divas in WWE history. After attending the University of Southern California and getting a degree in industrial systems and engineering, she won the WWE Diva Search in 2007, earning a spot on the SmackDown roster. On top of that, she trained at the world famous Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, ensuring she’s prepared for any attack in the ring.

LayCool Voted One of WWE’s Greatest Tag Teams in History

LayCool — the team of former WWE Women’s Champions Layla and Michelle McCool — have earned their place in history as the first and only “co-Women’s Champions”, and now thanks to their antics during their run from late 2009 to early 2011, they’ve earned a spot on WWE’s list of greatest tag teams, also.

Layla and Michelle have ranked #36 on the WWE.com list which counts down the top 50 teams in company history.

On the “flawless” duo, WWE.com writes:

Gleefully evil, unflinchingly vicious and better looking than everyone on this list besides Rick Martel, Team Lay-Cool tormented their opponents to the point that Mickie James broke down in tears when they infamously dubbed her “Piggie James” in front of a disgusted crowd. They were a nightmare, a pair of Roddy Pipers in press-on nails who toted around a bifurcated Divas Championship as if it was their very own tag title. Lay-Cool weren’t just attitude, though. When an unfortunate victim finally worked up the courage to fight back, Mich would kick them in the face while Lay cackled in the corner. They were wicked, but being bad never looked so good.

McCool Responds To Her Critics After Being Asked About ‘Taker


Michelle McCool has been greatly criticized over the years for taking the fast track to WWE glory. After entering an intimate relationship with The Undertaker in late 2007 (who she married in June 2010), many critics attributed her position in WWE to her influential partner rather than her ability to perform. Speaking to Inside Wrestling, the four-time champion is asked why she has received so much flack.

Dan Murphy asks McCool, “I know you like to keep some things private and this was never announced, but you did marry The Undertaker. He’s obviously a veteran and icon in the business with a lot of influence. Was it the Diva Search background or having the relationship with someone like him that’s responsible for the heat and resentment you got?” (more…)
