McCool Responds To Her Critics After Being Asked About ‘Taker

Michelle McCool has been greatly criticized over the years for taking the fast track to WWE glory. After entering an intimate relationship with The Undertaker in late 2007 (who she married in June 2010), many critics attributed her position in WWE to her influential partner rather than her ability to perform. Speaking to Inside Wrestling, the four-time champion is asked why she has received so much flack.
Dan Murphy asks McCool, “I know you like to keep some things private and this was never announced, but you did marry The Undertaker. He’s obviously a veteran and icon in the business with a lot of influence. Was it the Diva Search background or having the relationship with someone like him that’s responsible for the heat and resentment you got?” (more…)
Vince McMahon’s Love-Hate Relationship With Divas
Several sources are reporting that Vince McMahon has seemed to have developed a love-hate relationship with the WWE Divas. The mentality is that both RAW and SmackDown have to have one segment with the Divas. Vince is convinced that a Divas segment is needed because it draws in a certain demographic. When the Divas segments and matches are going on, it’s said that Vince feels they are a waste of time. This is part of the reason he has Michael Cole act the way he does when the Divas are out.
As you can imagine, Michael Cole is being fed “line after line” from Vince McMahon during RAW. It is said that Vince is constantly in the ear of Cole during the TV tapings which is why he comes across as such a you know what.
Michelle McCool Speaks on Decision to Retire, Cattiness in Divas Locker Room & Whether She’d Return

Former WWE Diva Michelle McCool has opened up on a slew of topics in the second part of her audio memoirs at her official website, MichelleMcCool.net.
In part two, Michelle reveals that she contemplated retirement for a year before she left this past April at Extreme Rules.
She says:
I’ve contemplated retiring, having my final match, for a long time. I mean, over a year. It was kinda like, gosh this is getting so stressful, I’m kinda compromising who I am as a person because of certain situations, and constant stress from these situations. That’s not the type of person I am so for quite some time I was battling with the idea of ‘How much longer can I do this? Mentally, physically, emotionally… had the time come?’ I could never get a clear grasp on whether or not my time had come. I could never get a definitive of feeling of, ‘Yes, you know what, I’m done’. Towards the latter part of 2010, I started thinking, ‘Let’s see what they’re gonna do for WrestleMania. Let’s see what direction they want to go with LayCool. Let’s just give it a little bit more time’, but I found myself beginning to week after week, not look forward to going to work as much as I should have, as much as I used to in the past and I started getting a bad taste in my mouth for a business that I absolutely love with all my heart. I didn’t want to get to a point of anger or resentment. I didn’t want to get to this point where I hated this business that I loved so much and I wasn’t going to allow myself to get to that point.
