Beth Phoenix and Tamina Snuka Show Each Other Respect Following Divas Title Match

Unlike her previous battles with Kelly Kelly or Eve Torres, it seems Divas Champion Beth Phoenix is being complimentary of her fallen opponent Tamina Snukaat last night’s Elimination Chamber pay per view.
Beth stated via Twitter that she was “impressed” with the second generation Diva’s effort, while Tamina responded that it was a “dream come true” to face the Glamazon.

Speaking to Diva Dirt Live (interview airs Monday at 8pm ET) about the DVD release of her debut movie, Bounty Hunters, we picked Trish’s brain for her thoughts on Beth vs Tamina.
The 7-time Women’s Champion told us: “First of all, I’m super excited about this match. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Tamina. I think when I first saw her, her and [Natalya] really had a chance to go at it. I thought that was really exciting and I wanted to see, eventually, the two of them branch off [from] the tag team action they had going on at the time and branch off into singles [matches], but we didn’t get to see as much as we would’ve liked.”

Beth Phoenix Talks About Her Match with Tamina, Who She Wants to Face at WrestleMania

Beth Phoenix spoke to the Miami Herald recently about her match-up with Tamina Snuka at tomorrow’s Elimination Chamber pay per view among other things.
Speaking on Snuka and their title bout tomorrow:
“I’ve been so excited. Everybody has been listening to me blab forever about working Tamina. I get to work with Natalya all the time, who is third generation, but now we have the daughter of Superfly Jimmy Snuka. She is the real deal. She definitely has that flavor and incredible athletic ability that is second to no one else.
“She is very special and very physical, which I look forward to a girl who can go and really bring it. Someone who can hit as hard as I hit, and we can go toe-to-toe, and it’s a challenge. She has really been waiting for an opportunity like this. I think she has been in the company for maybe three years and really been pushed to the forefront for this opportunity.
“I really see her shining week after week. I’m really looking forward to our match. There is not only going to be a great diva’s match with a great amount of physicality, but you are going to have that nostalgia behind it. I certainly grew up watching her father and admiring everything he has done. I’ve done my share of studying Roddy Piper’s strategies. So I’m looking forward to putting some of that in the match. I think you are going to have a good match at the Elimination Chamber.”
