Former WWE Diva Taryn “Tiffany” Terrell recently spoke with The Sun’s SunSport. Here are some highlights:
Posing for Playboy vs. wrestling:
“The very first time I ever shot for Playboy was pretty nerve-racking but within an hour you are comfortable, because Playboy has this reputation for being so professional. They’re fun to work with and by the end of the day you go ‘I’m still naked? I didn’t even realise.’ You just forget about it. But when you’re in the ring and everyone is staring at you, that’s what really gets you. The most nerve-racking part is knowing that Vince McMahon is watching you.”
The incident that led to her WWE release with husband Drew McIntyre:
“There was no issue. There was a security guard that knew who my husband was. He just decided to cause trouble for my husband. I stood up to the guard and I took the fall. Nothing had really transpired. It was just this security guard. I have no clue why people want to screw you over for no reason when you don’t even know them. Maybe they are jealous because they can’t do what he does. It was obviously a really difficult time in our lives, but we’ve moved on, we’re really happy. We’ve always been in a good place. It’s silly that it was reported that we weren’t. I think it had everything to do with my release from WWE. Everything else was going really well for me, Vince was happy with my work and I was progressing well. I’m saddened by it of course, because it was out of my hands. There was nothing I could do.
WWE has announced that former Divas Champion, Jillian and SmackDown Diva Tiffany have both been released. Neither Diva has been seen on television in quite some time due to various reasons. For Jillian, it’s because WWE wished to move her into the role of trainer for the female talents in developmental. For Tiffany, she had been serving an indefinite suspension due to an altercation with husband and WWE star, Drew McIntyre in their hotel room back in August.
Jillian made her debut in 2005 after working in OVW, first debuting on SmackDown as ‘image consultant’ to MNM and then JBL. Originally, Jillian sported a growth on her face which was then bitten off by the Boogeyman.
As for Tiffany, the former Diva Search contestant was originally hired to a developmental deal in 2007 after the Search. She joined the ECW brand as assistant GM and then GM until the brand folded this past February. Tiffany then moved to SmackDown, competing in the Divas division, where she really impressed in the matches she had against the likes of Michelle McCool. Considered to have great potential, her career came to a halt and has been in limbo since that incident in August which made newspapers in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland. Tiffany has been suspended since then and frankly, it’s unsurprising (though sad) that she was released.
WWE Diva, Tiffany aka Taryn Terrell has been cleared of all charges in the assault case filed against her following an incident between her and husband, Drew McIntyre.
A spokesperson for the LA City Attorney’s office told Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper, “No further legal action is anticipated in this case.”
Terrell was arrested last month after police were called to an LA hotel where she and McIntyre were staying. WWE suspended the SmackDown Diva pending the result of her hearing which took place at the beginning of this month.
Diva Tiffany is now free to return to WWE television after over a month of absence.
