Diva Trish Stratus Supports Chyna

IGN.com features an interview with multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus promoting the USA Network’s revival of Tough Enough, who appears as a trainer on the show. She notes that many of the contestants have previous wrestling experience.
A lot of the contestants have a background,” Stratus said. “They come from wrestling backgrounds. They’ve been doing it for a few years, but it’s an entirely different thing to be doing it on the big stage and to do it professionally and to do it with the grind of the big WWE machine.”
Stratus said of current WWE talent, Natalya is “untapped.”
She explained, “Fans are starting to get to know her more and more and I’m just waiting for the day where she goes out there and really can do her thing because I don’t think she’s been given the opportunity to really get out there and show everybody what she’s got.”
In light of Sunny’s induction into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class, Stratus suggested that Chyna be enshrined next.
“I think Chyna should be next in because she did a lot of stuff to bring attention to the women’s division itself and just presented women as a different thing,” Stratus said. “I think fans were conditioned to see women as eye candy for a long, long time and she really broke the mold with that.”
Stratus also discusses her favorite opponent, her favorite WrestleMania match, incorporating yoga into the Tough Enough contestants’ warming up regimen, as well as the program. The article can be read here.

Trish Stratus and Stacy Poses Together

Two former WWE Divas that we all know and love reunited last night… and sent us into a nostalgic spin in the process. Perhaps two of the most successful Divas to come out of the ‘golden era’ crop (albeit in one of their cases, success came outside of WWE), Trish Stratus and Stacy Keibler met up in LA yesterday and the former posted this snap of them together on Twitter. Aw!
Trish adds: “Had such a fun day at lunch- then dinner- then dessert with @stacykeibler! Back to work tomorrow- it’s going to be an early one ~T” Raise your hand if the nostalgia makes you want to run over to YouTube? Here‘s a good place to start.
Trish Stratus Interview With WWE

After Trish Stratus‘s amazing and unexpected return to WWE TV last night at ‘Elimination Chamber’, WWE.com got the chance to interview her. They ask about Kelly Kelly, her current projects, her Yoga Studio, etc. Trish, at Elimination Chamber, you took it upon yourself to come down to the ring. Want to tell us a little about that?
I’m joining Booker T as one of theTough Enough trainers, so he asked me to come down to Elimination Chamber so he could make the announcement on live TV. So, why did you feel the need to come down to the ring and help Kelly Kelly? Is it a friendship with Kelly, a dislike for Vickie Guerrero and Lay-Cool, or both?
Lay-Cool irks me a bit. They’ve been running their mouths off, so I thought I’d show them who’s “tough enough.” [laughs]
There’s just a little rule to take away [from tonight’s experience]: Whenever I come to a WWE event – although I am retired – I should always, always have my wrestling boots. When you wear heels and you try to be a Diva, it’s not a good thing, as we saw this evening when I tripped up ap a little bit. Hey, I’m retired. I tried to deliver some Stratusfaction, and I’m a little bit rusty.
