The Bella Twins in 2011
In 2011, the Bella Twins, Brie and Nikki, finally reached the top of the summit — the coveted Divas Title — and showed off an exciting new side to their characters, realizing their true potential as amazing bitchy heels. (And we mean that in the best way possible.)
Brie and Nikki’s character shift in 2011 was a breath of fresh air after several years as babyfaces. As heels, the twins, Nikki in particularly, showed off their sassy attitudes and given the opportunity, were incredibly entertaining.
When not stuck on backstage duty, which, okay, didn’t feel like a lot of the time, Brie and Nikki certainly had their highest point in WWE thus far when Brie won the Divas Championship from Eve Torres in April. The title win not only put the Divas in the spotlight on Raw, but also in the midst of intense fan debate over Brie’s merits as Divas Champion. (more…)
Beth Phoenix Injured on Raw (Pictures)
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix gave fans a fright last night after it was spotted that she had a nasty lump on the side of her head following her match with Alicia Fox on Raw.
Fans tweeted their concern for the Glamazon last night as a trainer was spotted running to the ring after the match to check on Beth. It looks like Foxy’s somersault leg drop did a number on the champion.
Beth commented on the injury via her Twitter page, writing: “@AliciaFoxy tried her hardest to destroy my face. There will be hell to pay for trying to tarnish my beauty.”
She then added: “Another angle of @AliciaFoxy ‘s damage. After hours in the trainers room, I broke a lot of mirrors with my fists.”

New Modeling & Candid Pictures From Maryse Ouellet
While we don’t get to see the lovely Maryse Ouellet on WWE television anymore, her modeling career is still in full effect.
Maryse and her boyfriend The Miz were in Los Angeles at a “NOH8″ event earlier this week. Maryse participated on-stage in a photoshoot for the “NOH8″ campaign, which aims to bring about equal marriage rights for same-sex couples.

Maria Discusses Unhappiness In WWE, Whether She’d Join TNA

Fans who have never heard Maria outside her WWE character are surprised by her intelligence and humor. A completely different person than the ditzy interviewer fans came to expect, Kanellis has always been positive about her time with WWE, but doesn’t sugarcoat anything either. As James Guttman asks during her ClubWWI.com interview, what surprised her the most when transitioning from WWE fan to performer? Maria answers…
“I was surprised by how unhappy people were. It’s the greatest company in the world, but there are so many people within that company that still struggle with their creative abilities not being used. I think you see that in so many people that come out of it. They have motorcycle shops or they have tattoo parlors or they are designers and want to do fashion. Maryse just came out and said she wants to do fashion. Torrie wants to do fashion. Trish has her own yoga studio and her own yoga line. So many of us just feel creatively stifled.” (more…)
