WWE.com has posted a new article reviewing the Big Show/AJ incident on SmackDown and updating the fans on the extent of her injuries.

WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson is quoted as saying:

“AJ is pretty beat up, as you can imagine. She has head trauma, a cervical sprain/strain and also multiple contusions all over her body.”

Interesting to note is author Michael Burdick querying whether AJ will be the same person upon returning:

Still, no matter when the numerous physical injuries subside, is it possible that the emotional scars could run much deeper? An impact like the one AJ experienced would be a traumatic situation for anyone. With that in mind, could the sheer memory of it keep the spunky beauty out of action indefinitely? If she does return, will she be the same positive force inside the ring that she was before she was run over by the 441 pound behemoth?

The article  – readable here – also poses the question as to who exactly is to blame for her injuries: Big Show, Daniel Bryan or even AJ herself? Similar to all of the babyfaces — including Beth Phoenix — hitting their finishers on a heel CM Punk a few months ago, WWE has made The Miz the target this time. On the current European tour, they’ve been doing spots where Miz is cornered by John Cena, Punk, John Morrison and Eve Torres, taking finishers from all four.

In this clip from Nantes, France a couple of days ago, Eve hits the moonsault on The Miz before celebrating with her colleagues. A big moment for Eve to be standing in the same spotlight as Punk and Cena.

While we’re still awaiting Maryse to grace us with her presence on TV, the blonde bombshell hit the red carpet last night for LA Fashion Week.

The Miz and Maryse were spotted at several events involving LA Fashion Week yesterday. As noted numerous times before, the duo is a real-life couple and have been for over a year now.

Goldust, presently working backstage as an agent/producer with the WWE Divas, is predicting via Twitter that Eve Torres will win the WWE Divas Title from Beth Phoenix at Sunday’s WWE Vengeance pay-per-view.

The outspoken Superstar criticized WWE’s use of the Divas, feeling that WWE was “missing the boat” on an entire section of viewers that the Divas could appeal to. He said: “I think even from just a business standpoint, the girls aren’t prominently featured, and we’re ignoring an entire demographic. There’s little girls out there [to who] these Divas are Wonder Woman. They’re superheroes. We’re missing the boat on that.”

Punk also discussed current Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix, and Natalya aka the Divas of Doom. He said: “Natalya Neidhart and Beth Phoenix I think are finally getting what they deserve. I think they are awesome talent.”

Speaking on who he’d like to see pushed in the company, Punk said: “I’m more apt to go with somebody who has heart, who has passion for what they do. In the past, I think the company’s almost punished people [for that]. Somebody like Nattie. She’s a Hart. It’s in her blood. To put her on the back-burner and not give her anything to do, I think it’s kind of insulting because she’s not just a Hart, she backs it up. She’s excellent in the ring. To kind of have her on ice, to me, doesn’t make any sense.”

Thoughts: It’s good to see someone in that company supporting the Divas. Punk is spot on. The Divas can bring in a different demographic to WWE, instead of just being considered eye candy for the male viewers, which it seem is their current role.

The former WWE Diva responded via private message, “The WWE did it. I never did anything but stand by him through thick and thin. We should all be so lucky as to have someone like that in our lives.

Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis made some allegations during last week’s RAW discussion on this show on AfterBuzzTV.com after co-host Lilian Garcia pondered why McIntyre and Morrison are not receiving greater pushes.

Maria said of McIntyre, “I have a feeling he’s paid for someone else’s sins, problems, because Drew’s really good. I’d love to see him do more stuff, but it’s unfortunate that that happens.”

Maria then said of Morrison, “I think it’s a lot of complications of outside stuff. I think that a lot of times they go with who’s going to be there, who’s always going to be there, who’s going to be the easiest. He’s very easy and I love him to pieces, but I think it’s outside complications. I think that’s why.”

Before the main event, Vickie declared that if Edge used the Spear, he would be stripped of the World Title. Increasing the challenge that lay ahead, if Kelly Kelly were to lose to Lay-Cool, The Rated-R Superstar would also lose his title.

In a stunning conclusion to the bout, it was Kelly Kelly who secured the victory – and Edge’s title – by dropping Layla with a spear. Then in a bitter rebuttal, Vickie fired Kelly Kelly from WWE! Next, after Edge watched his ex-wife berate Kelly Kelly and force her from the arena in tears, Vickie announced Edge would face Ziggler next week for the World Title … with Vickie as the special guest referee. As The Ultimate Opportunist pondered his newest obstacle, Ziggler viciously attacked from behind with a Zig Zag.

According to Sources, they are saying the following WWE aren’t aware if there is any particular incident or reason that Ted DiBiase isn’t receiving a stronger push on television. However, more than one person feels Maryse is struggling to work as an effective valet according to PWTorch. An official indicated that the former glamour model appears much more concerned with drawing attention to herself and getting herself over rather than enhancing DiBiase’s matches and overall presentation.
